About the Role

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement evidence-based behavior intervention plans for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and is ideal for individuals who are currently enrolled in or planning to enroll in a higher education program that can benefit from ABA certification, training, and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) designed by a BCBA.
Collect and record data on client behavior and progress during sessions.
Provide direct one-on-one ABA therapy in the client’s home, school, or community settings.
Support clients in developing and improving communication, social, and adaptive skills.
Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to assess client progress and modify intervention strategies as needed.
Attend regular team meetings and training sessions to ensure continuous professional development.
Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain client confidentiality in accordance with BACB standards.
Communicate effectively with clients’ families and caregivers to provide updates and support.

Requirements


Qualifications:

  • Must have or be willing to obtain RBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or a related field is preferred.

  • Students enrolled in or planning to enroll in a higher education program that aligns with ABA certification, such as psychology, education, social work, mental health counseling or a related field is highly encouraged.

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or ASD is preferred but not required.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client locations.

  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain any necessary clearances.

Training and Certification Requirements:

  • Completion of a 40-hour RBT training program that meets BACB standards.

  • Successful completion of the RBT Competency Assessment administered by a BCBA.

  • Passing the RBT exam conducted by the BACB.

  • Ongoing supervision by a BCBA as required by BACB guidelines.
